Slingshot gets a boost: No motorcycle endorsement needed in this state

Coleman PowerSports, a two-time Powersports Business Power 50 dealer, will offer demo rides of the Slingshot, promoting the fact in its Enewsletter that in Virginia, the Slingshot does not require a motorcycle endorsement — a driver’s license, helmet and seat belt are the only requirements to take on the Slingshot’s 173hp.

  1. As a Slingshot owner in South Carolina they do not require a motorcycle endorsement or helmet. However, please remember that everyone, and I mean everyone, on the road is looking at you and trying to get in position to take a picture of you and the Slingshot. I’ve had a few close calls already with cars drifting i to me. Otherwise, just love it.
