Analyst: Polaris retail sales ‘tracking well’ in May

Polaris’ May retail sales are “tracking well,” according to a research note provided to Powersports Business by Wells Fargo Securities analyst Tim Conder.

“April retail was ”better than decent’ including very strong start for ACE. Europe improving. We believe May is tracking well,” Conder reports.

Conder also notes that ORV industry growth trends for 2014-15 remains at plus-double digits, and Polaris is expecting to grow ORV share.

“Management stated due to RZR taking share, some competitors have elevated sport SxS channel inventories, however not overly excessive,” Conder reports.

Conder adds that there are currently 80 Indian dealers retailing in the U.S., approaching 200 signed globally.
