MotoHunt adds new upgrades to help dealers better manage inventory

Powersports online marketplace MotoHunt recently launched a set of new tools that it says gives dealers a clearer, faster read on how their inventory is actually performing.

MotoHunt’s new updates include using Google Analytics data with MotoHunt engagement data to flags trending listings automatically. The updates also include custom aging bands for aging inventory.

The first update is centered on what the company calls its Website & MotoHunt Analytics. MotoHunt can now pull Google Analytics data from the dealer’s own website together with MotoHunt engagement data, then flags listings automatically. Units getting an unusual spike in attention receive a “Hot” badge.” Listings consistently beating expectations get a “Popular” badge. And units falling well short of where they should be get a “Cold” badge.

MotoHunt is also introducing a new inventory report built right into the its page. MotoHunt says it gives dealers an instant snapshot of total inventory value, average pricing score, units with issues, and over/under pricing metrics, all broken down by the dealer’s own aging bands. Additionally, the report updates live as filters are applied, so the numbers always match exactly what the dealer is looking at.

Keeping track of holdover inventory also gets upgraded gets its own upgrade. And since every store defines aging differently, MotoHunt says it’s now letting its dealers set custom aging bands at 60 days, 90 days, or wherever the process starts, then filter the whole inventory page around those thresholds.

The last update includes reworking the pricing page, which now includes a full performance history for each listing. Dealers can see historical website traffic, MotoHunt pageviews and clicks, price changes, and photo updates right next to their pricing data, giving real context behind every pricing call.
