Norton, Manx R make U.S. debut at Barbara Vintage Festival
Norton’s Manx R officially made its on-track debut here in the U.S. after completing several laps at the Barber Vintage Festival.
The popular vintage bike festival at Barber Motorsports Park served as the backdrop for Norton Motorcycles to showcase its new 206-horsepower V4 superbike, the Manx R, as well as its middleweight adventure model, the Atlas.
The Manx R completed several demonstration laps, allowing attendees to see the bike firsthand. Following European launches in Spain and Iceland, Norton brought the Manx R and the Atlas to the U.S. for the first time.
“The Barber Vintage Festival is a great way to build excitement for Norton’s comeback to the U.S. ahead of our return early next year,” says Steve Radt, regional director of sales – USA at Norton Motorcycles. “It’s also an opportunity for fans and potential customers to hear the new V4 powertrain at full throttle on the track. Norton has an incredible history of success in the U.S., both on track and in showrooms. This seems a fitting way to showcase our first production bikes in the country while recognizing so many owners who keep our heritage alive.”
The presence at the Barber Vintage Festival marked Norton’s next step in its return to the U.S. in the first quarter of 2027.
The Manx R is one of four models in Norton Motorcycles’ new-generation product line-up and recently won an IDEA award for design. Its modern, reductive design is combined with an all-new V4 powertrain, semi-active suspension, Brembo braking system, advanced rider assistance technology, and an 8-inch TFT touchscreen.
