Aston Martin drops its first-ever road-legal motorcycle
Seven years after their initial partnership, British car manufacturer Aston Martin and the “Rolls-Royce of motorcycles” Brough Superior have released the AMB 002, the brands’ first-ever road-legal motorcycle.
When Aston Martin first partnered with Brough Superior in 2019, the two debuted the turbocharged AMB 001; however, that bike and the 225HP AMB 001 Pro that followed in 2022 were exclusively built for the track.
At the heart of the AMB 002 is its all-new 1083cc four-stroke, water-cooled V-twin with 130hp and 81 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine features CNC-machined billet engine cases optimized for weight reduction and structural efficiency.
The new V-twin sits within a titanium frame that’s milled from a solid billet, forming a structural spine. It weighs a fraction of a conventional design — just over 11 lb. — and Brough says the AMB 002’s frame is key to achieving a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.
Brough also claims the bike sits at an exceptionally low center of gravity — thanks to carbon fiber body panels and fuel tank. Combined with its lightweight build of 420 lb. and low- and mid-range torque, the AMB 002 blends muscle performance with nimble athleticism.
Another unique feature Brough claims is the distinctive double-wishbone front suspension. Avoiding the compromises of conventional telescopic forks, the unique design separates steering and braking forces while maintaining control of the front-end geometry.
Pricing and availability
Only 300 models will be available, with initial orders now being taken for the hand-built, strictly limited AMB 002, with deliveries starting in late 2027. Visit the Brough Superior website for ordering information.
Although no MSRP was released, considering the previous track-only models went for about $120,000 at the time, a realistic guess for the limited-edition AMB 002 would be well into the six figures.
