500-mile snowmobile race has 50 racers registered

About 50 riders have registered for the 2015 International 500 Snowmobile Race, which will run 500 miles from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Willmar, Minn.

The Feb. 11 race will take about three days to complete, with overnight stops in Minnesota’s Thief River Falls, Bemidji and Alexandria, reported the St. Cloud Times. Entry fees are $750 for pro-class and $500 for the junior division, with purses totaling $35,000 for first place and $100,000 in total payouts.
