California dealership adds Suzuki

Southern California Motorcycles in Brea has added Suzuki Motorcycles to its lineup. “We feel Suzuki’s high quality, great reputation, wide selection of models and affordable prices provide the perfect addition to our dealership,” the dealership said in a press release. With the addition of Suzuki, the dealership is undergoing major construction to rearrange its layout. Suzuki sales are expected to begin in July, and the dealership is hosting a Grand Opening in its courtyard on Saturday, July 26. The event will include live music free food, demo rides, a vendor fair and more. Southern California Motorcycles also carries Triumph, Ducati, Victory and Royal Enfield. The dealership has been Triumph’s No. 1 dealer in the U.S. for the past seven years and was the 2007 Ducati Dealer of the Year for North America.

Dealer expands

Iron Station Thunder, a pre-owned dealership and service shop in Lincolnton, N.C., is now leasing a former antique store next door to its facility to double its footprint to 13,000 square feet, reported the Lincoln Times-News. Bryan “Rocket” McClure opened the dealership in April 2012. His hope is to add more mechanics with the expansion. The addition of space means Iron Station Thunder will now have store frontage on a street corner.

Harley dealership celebrates first anniversary

Hells Canyon Harley-Davidson in Lewiston, Idaho, hosted a First Anniversary Party on Saturday, June 21. The event included a hosted BBQ party and live rock music from Homewreckr from noon to 4 p.m. One grand prize winner was also given a $1,000 Hells Canyon gift card.

Italian Week event

Leo’s South, a 2013 Powersports Business Power 50 dealership in Lakeville, Minn., is celebrating Italian Week July 1-5 with deals and demo rides on any Italian brand in stock all week. The event kicks off Tuesday, July 1 with Vespa and Piaggio Day, including demo rides and feature walk-arounds all day. Wednesday is Aprilia Day, as the Aprilia factory demo truck offers test rides on models such as the Caponord 1200. Thursday, July 3 is Moto Guzzi Day, with demo rides and feature walk-arounds on those models. The dealership is closed on Friday, July 4 for Independence Day, but Italian Week continues Saturday, July 5 with an Italian fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
