BRP hits snowmobile production milestone in Finland
BRP Inc. has hit an important milestone in its history with the production of half a million snowmobiles at its Rovaniemi facility in Finland. This achievement not only reflects the success of its two flagship brands, Lynx and Ski-Doo, but also testifies to the expertise and know-how of BRP Finland’s close to 500 employees.
The company also announces that BRP Finland has started producing all its electric snowmobiles for every BRP market worldwide, supporting its efforts to become the standard in electric recreational vehicles.

Electrification strategy
The Rovaniemi site, one of BRP’s 14 manufacturing plants worldwide, plays a pivotal role in its innovative production model and overall business strategy. As such, BRP Finland has started producing all its electric snowmobiles for all its markets. This technological transition will enable BRP to reduce its carbon footprint and is expected to represent a growing business opportunity.
In the winter of 2023, BRP launched the very first electric models of its existing product lineup, the Ski-Doo Grand Touring Electric and the Lynx Adventure Electric, both dedicated exclusively to Uncharted Society, BRP’s global network of experience outfitters and tour operators. In February 2024, two additional electric snowmobiles designed for ski centers and resorts were unveiled, and they will also be available to consumers in winter 2024-’25.
