Benelli’s new middleweight sportbike, Tornado 550, hits U.S. dealerships
Storied Italian motorcycle brand Benelli, which is now distributed in the U.S. by Keeway America, recently announced the arrival of the all-new Benelli Tornado 550, its latest middleweight sportbike.
The Tornado 550 is powered by a 554cc parallel-twin that makes a claimed 61 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 40 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. It also features a full Brembo braking system and Marzocchi suspension.
On the tech side, it comes with a 5-inch TFT display that offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Other technology includes traction control, two ride modes — Normal and Sport — and tire-pressure monitoring.
The Benelli Tornado 550 starts at $5,999, bringing a competitive price to the middleweight sportbike segment. The bike is now available at authorized Benelli dealers nationwide. Riders can visit the Benelli or Keeway America website for more information. The company says availability will be limited, so interested riders are encouraged to contact their local Benelli dealer.
