Segway and RideNow donate UTVs to Texas police and fire department
Segway Powersports partnered with RideNow and the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas to donate two UT10 Crews to the city of McKinney, Texas, to be utilized by the McKinney Fire Department and McKinney Police Department.
Throughout the year, emergencies like wildfires, floods and remote rescue operations occur in challenging terrains or areas with limited accessibility. In such instances, a UTV becomes a crucial asset for the response teams.
“The ability to transport personnel and equipment to remote areas can be a determining factor in the success of emergency response efforts,” says Dave Swavey, executive director of Guns & Hoses Foundation. “In such situations, the need for local departments to have access to a UTV becomes paramount. We are truly honored to partner with Segway Powersports and RideNow, who willingly step up to the plate, keeping the holiday spirit alive, and enable us to equip these departments with these resources.
“On behalf of RumbleOn and Ridenow Powersports we are proud to support our first responders who put their lives on the line every day,” says Nick Haider, regional operations director for RideNow. “These individuals are not just heroes; they are our neighbors, family and friends. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to them, and I would like to personally express gratitude to Segway Powersports and Guns & Hoses Foundation for their invaluable assistance in making this donation possible.”
