Mladin Repeats as AMA Champ

Team Yoshimura Suzuki’s Mat Mladin captured his second record-breaking AMA Chevrolet Superbike Championship by clinching the 2004 title at the final round of the 11-round series at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Va., Oct. 10, 2004. His end-of-season win total is eight victories, giving him 32 career wins.
Mladin started off the 2004 season by winning the Daytona 200 on his Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000. Mladin’s four previous AMA Superbike titles came aboard the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 in 2003, and aboard the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R750 in 2001, 2000 and 1999.
