Virginia Creates Motorcycle Advisory Council

Virginia Gov. Mark R. Warner has created the Governor’s Motorcycle Advisory Council to promote motorcycle safety, tourism and business development.
Warner said motorcyclists need to have a voice in the transportation debate. On January 6, he named 28 citizen members and representatives of state agencies to the council, including legislators, motorcycle dealers, members of motorcycle clubs and tourism representatives.
There are approximately 250,000 licensed motorcyclists in Virginia, a state with a population of 7,459,827 inhabitants.
