Auto dealer takes ownership of Harley-Davidson dealership
George Chaconas and Performance Brokerage Services recently facilitated a transaction whereby ownership of a Harley-Davidson dealership changed hands.
Seller Jerry “Robbie” Cox, owner of Cox’s Northern Tier Harley-Davidson in Mansfield, Pa., sold the business to Pete Eisenhauer. Eisenhauer has renamed the operation Eisenhauer’s Tioga County Harley-Davidson.
The Cox family has been in the Harley-Davidson business since 1961 in the Carolinas. They expanded their footprint to Pennsylvania nine years ago with the opening of Cox’s Northern Tier Harley-Davidson. They have now decided to focus solely on their dealerships in the Carolinas.
Eisenhauer currently owns Eisenhauer Nissan of Wernersville, Pa., a dealership that has been in his family for nearly 60 years. It has been a longtime dream of his to own and operate a Harley-Davidson dealership as he has been an active rider and Harley-Davidson enthusiast for over 20 years.
Eisenhauer started selling at his family’s dealership at the age of 18, became the manager at 21 and the dealer principal in his mid 20s. He has continued to build his family’s Nissan dealership with a focus on customer satisfaction, building a strong and loyal employee base and a maintaining an excellent reputation in the community.
While the Harley-Davidson dealership in Tioga County is a three-hour drive from his Nissan dealership, Eisenhauer is very familiar with the area and culture as it has been his family’s hunting and vacation spot for over 25 years.
Joining the Harley-Davidson family in Mansfield allows him to sell and service a product he is passionate about and to share the Harley-Davidson experience with his customers in an area that he loves.
