Dealerships celebrate Memorial Day weekend with events

Here are a few events the Powersports Business team has learned about:
Memorial Weekend Tent Event at Gail’s Harley-Davidson in Grandview, Mo.
Thursday-Saturday
The party starts at 9 a.m. Thursday. On Friday a live band will play during a grilled dinner from 6-10 p.m., with fireworks at dusk. On Saturday, a live band will play during a grilled lunch 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Ride to Remember with Gowanda Harley-Davidson in Gowanda, N.Y.
Monday
The 15th annual Ride to Remember starts at the Gowanda American Legion, with breakfast at 7 a.m. and kickstands up at 9:15 a.m. Disabled Veterans of America will then be at the dealership from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to talk to riders about their offerings and benefits.
Memorial Day Sale at Coleman PowerSports in Falls Church, Va.
Through Saturday
A variety of units and parts and accessories are on sale. Also, as a special thank you to members of the Armed Forces, the dealership is offering a 10 percent of Armed Forces Bucks coupon to anyone who mentions the deal and has a valid military ID. The coupon can be received May 22-25, with redemption available on service, parts, or accessories from May 27-July 6. Free American flags are available to the first 50 customers who ask for them.
Memorial Day Tent Sale at Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson in Orwigsburg, Pa.
Friday and Saturday
Discontinued MotorClothes and Harley-Davidson licensed products from the store’s boutique will be on sale in the tent. Also on Saturday, Jason’s Swap Meet will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering space for $10 to anyone with motorcycle merchandise other than bikes. An LED Lighting Clinic will be presented at noon Saturday.
Summit Point Race Days with Bob’s BMW in Jessup, Md.
Sunday and Monday
The Bob’s BMW Hospitality Tent will be available with free snacks and refreshments at the Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, W.Va. The dealership will be cheering on its S1000RR sponsored racer and 2012 champion Jeremy Cook. Cook and his crew will also stop by the tent between races.
Memorial Day Sale at B.A. Wolfe Powersports in Clarksville, Tenn.
Friday-Sunday
15 percent off regular-priced in-stock helmets, apparel and parts.
Memorial Day Sales Event at DHY Motorsports in Deptford, N.J.
Friday and Saturday
Sales on WaveRunners, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, lawn mowers and power generators.
Memorial Day event/Ladies Day at Bergdale Harley-Davidson in Albert Lea, Minn.
Saturday
The grill will be on, and refreshments will be provided. Also, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Ladies Day will introduce female riders to the models, gear and parts at the dealership. All women who attend the workshop will be entered for a chance to win rider training for two and a $1,000 Harley-Davidson gift card. One grand prize winner will also be awarded with a 2014 SuperLow motorcycle and a trip for two to Harley’s 110th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee. A May coupon book is also available to all women.
