Polaris recalls Rangers, GEM cars

Polaris has announced a recall on 327 Polaris Ranger 400 models and 4,394 GEM cars.

Some 2013 Polaris Ranger 400s are being recalled because the throttle on the units can fail to operate properly, causing the vehicle’s driver to lose control. No injuries have been reported. Because this recall only affects some models, this website will clarify recalled vehicles by VIN number.

Polaris is also recalling thousands of 2010-2013 GEM neighborhood vehicles. The parking brake in the affected units has mechanical components that may wear prematurely, preventing the parking brake from engaging.

With both recalls, Polaris is contacting its customers with the information necessary to schedule a repair.
