MIC acquires MotorcycleIndustryJobs.com to expand powersports workforce reach
The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) has acquired MotorcycleIndustryJobs.com (MIJ), bringing the long-running powersports employment platform under the association’s umbrella as MIC looks to strengthen workforce development across the industry.

Founded in 2004 by Alex Baylon, MIJ was created to address the challenge of finding jobs in the motorcycle industry, where employment opportunities were often shared through word-of-mouth or classified advertisements. The platform has since grown into a mobile-friendly employment resource connecting powersports employers with job seekers.
“MIJ gives us a tremendous opportunity to do just that by connecting employers with the people they need and helping more people discover the many career opportunities in powersports,” Christy LaCurelle, MIC president and CEO said in a Ride Report news story. “We are excited to keep that momentum rolling while also exploring the new benefits it can create for MIC members.”
MIJ currently offers job listings and resume posting, along with recruiting and employer services, industry and company profiles, career information, and industry-related content and data.
For powersports dealers and other industry employers, the acquisition could provide another avenue for recruiting qualified candidates at a time when attracting and retaining employees remains a key industry challenge.
Baylon said MIC’s resources and industry reach will allow MIJ to expand its role in the powersports employment market.
“MIC has the vision and the resources to take MIJ to the next level, helping it grow and serve the industry in even bigger ways,” Baylon added.
MIJ’s administrative team will remain in place following the acquisition, with MIC saying users should see no change in service or support. The acquisition also aligns with MIC’s broader goal of supporting growth within the powersports industry by helping companies connect with talent and introducing potential employees to career opportunities throughout the market.
