College to add powersports technology program this fall: report

Southeastern Illinois College is launching a powersports technology program this fall, according to a report on Agrinews.com. Gradutes of the two-semester program will receive a certificate. Ralph Boots, a veteran instructor, is heading the program.

“I’ve never had so many calls from dealerships looking for help. There’s a real need out there,” Boots said. “After meeting and speaking with different manufacturing reps and dealer principals, we now know of the demand for technicians locally and nationally. We are excited for this opportunity and feel this is the right time and right direction to take.”
