BMW: 2004 cycle sales down 1.1% through October

Officials at BMW reported sales of 6,371 motorcycles worldwide in October 2004, up 10.3% from 5,777 units during October 2003. The company says 78,553 cycles were delivered in the first ten months of the year, down 1.1% from the 79,394 units delivered during the same period in 2003.
The BMW Group, which includes the BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brands, reported sales of 989,197 vehicles for the first 10 months of 2004, an 8.8% increase compared to sales during the prior year period. Through October, the company sold 830,698 BMW, 157,943 Mini and 556 Rolls-Royce.
