The biggest news from the V-Twin Expo …

Nel PascaleCINCINNATI — … has got to be Tucker Rocky’s renewed focus on the V-twin aftermarket business.

Tucker Rocky President Steve Johnson told Powersports Business the national distributor is “pushing a restart button” on Biker’s Choice, its V-twin arm. The restart includes additional resources for that business group as well as the addition of Charlie Hadayia Jr. to its management staff. Hadayia, an industry veteran, is probably best known for his many years at one of the V-twin industry’s prominent brands, S&S Cycle.

Johnson noted Hadayia, who was just recently hired, will handle business development duties for Biker’s Choice while Director Richard Schafer will work on product and inventory. The latter is especially key for the brand’s growth in the market.

Refocusing on the V-twin market for Tucker Rocky only makes sense as Harley-Davidson’s market share continues to rise. The manufacturer recently stated its share in the industry’s heavyweight bike market (651cc-plus) had risen to 55 percent.

Find out more on the changes at Biker’s Choice in an upcoming edition of Powersports Business.
