KTM sales growth surpasses 26 percent in Q1
KTM announced a sales increase of 26.8 percent in the quarter ended March 31, 2014, with sales of 32,994 vehicles. Revenue also jumped 20.4 percent to 196.9 million euros ($272.1 million).
Of the unit sales, 2,748 200 Duke and 390 Duke models were sold in India by Bajaj.
The production of KTM motorcycles in China started on March 27. CFMOTO assembles the models Duke 200 and 390 in its plant in Hangzhou for the Chinese market.
“KTM delivers the part sets and the engines,” KTM chief operating officer Harald Plöckinger said.
By launching new models, KTM is following a global product strategy and expansion into Asian and South American markets. KTM officials expect a further increase in sales and revenue for the business year 2014.
Glad to hear KTM is doing well. I’ve always been a fan of their business model and now they’re only getting bigger and better!
