Wilderness bill reintroduced in the House
U.S. Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) last week reintroduced a bill that would designate 23 million acres of land in the Rockies as wilderness, ending off-highway vehicle use in the area.
H.R. 1187, the National Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act (NREPA) would affect land in Montana, Oregon, Washington state and Wyoming. The American Motorcyclist Association is asking its members to contact their representatives to stop the passage of the bill.
