Town buying building that housed Harley-Davidson dealership: report

A former Harley-Davidson dealership building in the Buffalo area is being purchased by the town of Amherst as a police training facility, according to a story on WIVB.com.

Amherst has signed a letter of intent to purchase the 50,000 square-foot building that has been vacant since October, when Buffalo Harley-Davidson, located in Orchard Park, closed its Amherst location, according to the report.

Buffalo Harley-Davidson opened in 1921.
