Honda to release $1.3 million production race bike

Honda Racing Corporation is set to launch a $1.3 million production MotoGP racer by the end of this year, Gizmag.com reported.

The RC213V 1,000cc V4 bike will be designed to be competitive in the CRT class of MotoGP in 2014, though the unit will be made available for purchase by professional racers and the public alike. The move is meant to save teams money, as they currently spent about $4.5 million a season to lease a bike.
