Dealership investigated for allegedly selling unsafe models
Southern Honda Powersports in Chattanooga, Tenn., is the subject of an investigation by state and federal authorities after the dealership was accused of selling units that were unsafely assembled and others that were recalled but unfixed before being sold.
Investigations were launched by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in May and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nashville and the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office last month, according to USA Today. The agencies are responding to a complaint by former Southern Honda marketing consultant Ernest Vickers III.
