Yamaha’s year-end report shows a dip in North American new unit sales
Yamaha Motor Corp. sold fewer powersports new units in North America in 2008 compared with the prior year, the company said in its recent year-end report.
The company’s North American motorcycle sales totaled 167,000 in 2008, a 15 percent drop compared to the prior year.
Yamaha’s sales in its power products division, which includes ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles and other vehicles, declined 25 percent compared to the prior year.
