Harley-Davidson unveils new models, ’08 lineup refinements

Harley-Davidson’s 2008 lineup will include three new models, limited-edition 105th Anniversary styling in 14 models and a host of technical refinements.

The Motor Company unveiled three new motorcycles — Dyna Fat Bob, the Rocker and the Rocker C — on Monday. The Fat Bob will take “the Dyna platform in a bold, new direction,” Bill Davidson, director of Motorcycle Product Development said in company press release.

Other lineup changes include:

* an Anti-Lock Braking System that will be available as an option on all touring and VRSC models, and will be standard equipment on the 2008 Electra Glide Ultra Classic 105th Anniversary Edition, CVO Screamin’ Eagle Electra Glide Ultra Classic and CVO Screamin’ Eagle Road King.

* a high-performance, 1250cc version of the liquid-cooled Revolution V-Twin engine for all VRSC models. The engine will be tuned to make up to 125 horsepower and 85 feet pounds of torque.

* a new drive system for all touring models that the company says reduces noise and vibration to the rider.
