Caterpillar acquires Fabick Cat dealer network

The world’s largest construction equipment manufacturer, Caterpillar, announced it has agreed to acquire John Fabick Tractor Co. — aka Fabick Cat — a longtime Cat dealer serving portions of the Midwest United States.

Fabick Cat operates 37 locations across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It supplies equipment and services for construction, agriculture, infrastructure maintenance, and other applications.

The acquisition is intended to support a transition in ownership while maintaining customer service and local support across the dealership’s territory.

“Caterpillar and Cat dealers share a common mission of solving our customers’ toughest challenges,” says Joe Creed, Caterpillar chairman and CEO. “We look forward to continuing to work with the Fabick team to build on a century of success, further strengthen the customer experience and drive long-term growth across the service territory.”

“We’re incredibly proud of our team and the customer relationships we’ve built over the past 100 years,” adds Jeré Fabick, chairman, CEO and dealer principal of Fabick Cat.
