NPA auction results show solid pricing

The third annual Dealer Expo Auction hosted by National Powersport Auctions brought a variety of units to the 10,000 square-foot auction zone.

The lineup of 100 pre-owned powersports units included a 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide CVO and a Polaris RZR 800. The inventory included 50 percent bank repos and 50 percent dealer consignments.

“Healthy inventory management is crucial to today’s successful dealers, so dealer consignment vehicles have become an integral part of our auction process. The Dealer Expo auction is no different, and we were very happy to have such strong participation from dealers buying and selling at the auction,” said Jim Woodruff, chief operating officer for National Powersport Auctions, who also spoke earlier that day as part of the dealer educational seminars covering “The Power of Pre-owned.”

When the final “sold” call rang across Dealer Expo’s floor, NPA had sold all the units to powersports dealers nationwide.

“Auctions are the ideal way to liquidate inventory. We had 209 live and online bidders participate in the auction this year and finished with a 97 percent price to book ratio (based on NADA Clean Wholesale Value), which is in line with what we are seeing in our NPA Value Guide results at the rest of our auctions this time of year,” Woodruff added. “We look forward to Dealer Expo every year. It is a great way for us to bring the experience and knowledge of an NPA auction to dealers and assist with any pre-owned business questions dealers might have.”

NPA’s live auction at Dealer Expo once again attracted a positive response from dealers.
