The companies announced Sept. 24 that P3’s SPARQ OS for motorcycles will be fully integrated into a prototype Superior GT, creating a reference vehicle designed to demonstrate the technology’s capabilities. The prototype is scheduled to make its worldwide debut at CES 2027, Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.

The partnership offers a look at how connected infotainment technology developed for the automotive market could increasingly make its way into motorcycles and other powersports vehicles.

SPARQ OS is designed specifically for two-wheel applications and combines navigation, vehicle telemetry, media, voice assistance and other connected services through a motorcycle-specific interface.

The system can integrate navigation and vehicle information on a single display, providing access to information such as speed, acceleration, vehicle status, GPS directions and environmental conditions. Riders can control infotainment functions via handlebar-mounted controls, reducing the need to interact directly with the display while riding.

P3 said SPARQ OS supports more than 200 applications and services, including motorcycle-specific navigation, weather, road and environmental information and third-party applications.

P3 said SPARQ OS supports more than 200 applications and services, including motorcycle-specific navigation, weather, road and environmental information and third-party applications. The platform also includes a motorcycle-specific app store.

The system is built on Android Automotive OS and supports several hardware platforms, including NXP i.MX 95, Qualcomm QCM2290 and SemiDrive X9. P3 also said the system can be customized for different motorcycle display shapes and resolutions.

Another key feature for manufacturers is over-the-air software and firmware updating. That capability could allow OEMs to add features and make software updates after a motorcycle has been delivered to the customer.

“The partnership with Hush Cycles is a significant milestone not just for SPARQ OS, but for P3’s Android Automotive OS activities as a whole,” says Marius Mailat, CTO and managing director of P3 digital services. “Integrating the full SPARQ OS into a premium motorcycle demonstrates the incredible flexibility of our platform.”

Hush Cycles was founded in Küsnacht, Switzerland, in 2020 by designer Alex Stalder. The company’s flagship Superior GT is positioned as a high-performance electric motorcycle designed for both performance riding and everyday use. The motorcycle also incorporates storage for two full-face helmets.

P3 and Hush Cycles plan to showcase the connected Superior GT at industry events throughout 2027, beginning with CES 2027.

“Our fundamental ethos at Hush Cycles is to build the absolute best electric motorcycle that is technically possible,” Stalder says. “P3’s SPARQ OS provides a multiplicity of capabilities that make a rider’s journey more operationally efficient, safer, and inherently more enjoyable.”

The companies also plan to provide a preview at CES of an experimental software layer being developed to coordinate vehicle hardware, environmental information and rider-related inputs beneath the SPARQ OS ecosystem.
