Polaris Opens New Training Facility

Polaris Industries (NYSE:PII) announced plans to establish a dealer training center at the State University of New York campus in Canton, N.Y. The chosen facility houses the University’s motorsports performance and repair certification program, but will also accommodate Polaris’ Master Service Dealer Training Program year-round.
Polaris currently conducts dealer training courses at Central Tech in Drumright, Okla., at the Polaris America dealership in Conyers, Ga., and at Polaris headquarters in Medina, Minn. The program has dealers from across the country spending four to five days in training courses for servicing Polaris ATVs, RANGERs, snowmobiles, personal watercraft and Victory motorcycles.
SUNY Canton’s state-of-the-art lab facility, ease of access and location were major draws for the Polaris to locate there, the manufacturer’s leaders said in a prepared statement. By hosting the program on its campus, SUNY Canton will have access to Polaris products for use in its own certification program.
