Vespa introduces Limited Speed 50cc models

Vespa is now offering new versions of its small-framed Primavera and Sprint 50cc models, which will target an even wider group of riders.

As an entry point to two-wheeled adventure, the iconic small-framed platforms in the Primavera and Sprint have been a favorite for riders for decades, both as a key to the big city as well as ideal transport for small towns and university commuters. As early 2020 models, the regulated 50cc models will qualify for operation under a standard driver’s license in these states: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The first Vespa Primavera emerged in 1968. This was the year that witnessed a new awareness amongst the younger generation that suddenly wanted to yell for freedom. From the universities of California to the squares of Paris, a new social group – that of young people – demanded a place in the front row of a fast-changing society.
