Arctic Cat sponsors non-profit organization
News Release
Arctic Cat Inc. [on Wednesday] announced its sponsorship of Patriots and Heroes Outdoors (PHO), a non-profit organization that provides outdoor activities and sporting events for Purple Heart recipients and military members with service-related injuries, in appreciation of their sacrifice. As part of Arctic Cat’s sponsorship, the company will be donating recreational off-highway vehicles for use by participants in PHO organized hunting trips. Arctic Cat also will donate products to be auctioned at PHO’s annual fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting PHO. In addition, PHO members and affiliates will be eligible for discounts on Arctic Cat parts and garments.
“We are very grateful for Arctic Cat’s support of our mission,” said Rod Jay, president of Patriots and Heroes Outdoors. “Our goal is to provide a therapeutic break from the daily routine for our wounded warriors and their loved ones, and help improve their quality of life.”
PHO arranges hunting and fishing excursions, and outdoor activities, for participants. The group also offers educational support to service families by pursuing grants, endowments, scholarships and other financial contributions.
“All of us at Arctic Cat appreciate the service and sacrifice of our country’s military service men and women, and we are proud to support the work of Patriots and Heroes Outdoors,” said Greg Williamson, Arctic Cat’s chief marketing officer. “Like PHO, we are passionate about empowering others to enjoy the great outdoors. Through this partnership, we hope to bring opportunities for fun and adventure to our veterans.”
Since its founding in 2006, PHO has quickly grown from its grass roots beginning to one with an expanding national reach. Based in El Campo, Texas, PHO’s all-volunteer team facilitates events for wounded warriors and active duty personnel with interested host families and organizations.
