Vectrix teams up with Daimler for smart scooter
Stuttgary, Germany-based Daimler announced in November that its smart brand is expanding its portfolio of electrically-driven vehicles designed for urban traffic by cooperating with Vectrix, the Rhode Island-based manufacturer of two-wheeled electric vehicles.
In addition to the smart electric drive and the smart ebike, the smart scooter will be launched on the market in 2014. With the introduction of a zero-local emission scooter, smart, is offering a complete portfolio of electrically driven vehicles for short, medium and long distances of up to 140 kilometers.
