Fox Factory moving powersports operations to Georgia, bringing 800 jobs
Georgia is apparently back at it as a great place to do business. I just finished up a story in the magazine about Yamaha Motor Corp. USA adding to its presence there, making the shift from California. Now, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal is announcing that Fox Factory will moving their manufacturing and corporate operations to the Georgia from Scotts Valley. Press release below. — Dave
Deal: Fox Factory Holding Corp. to create up to 800 jobs in Hall County

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Fox Factory Holding Corp., a designer and manufacturer of performance-defining, ride dynamics products primarily for bicycles and powered vehicles, expects to create up to 800 jobs and invest up to $50 million in new Georgia facilities including the relocation of its corporate headquarters to Georgia. The 23-acre site will diversify the company’s manufacturing platform and provide additional long-term capacity to support growth in its Powered Vehicles Group.
“Georgia provides the business environment and skilled workforce for innovative companies like Fox Factory Holding Corp. to enjoy long-term success and compete worldwide,” said Deal. “By relocating its headquarters to Georgia and expanding its facilities in Hall County, the company will continue to enjoy the benefits of the No. 1 state for business, including our expansive logistics infrastructure and a low-tax climate conducive to manufacturing. I am encouraged to see yet another industry leader choose to expand operations here, as Fox Factory Holding Corp.’s investment will produce meaningful results for Georgia and create even more opportunities in the Hall County community. The first phase of the Hall County project is expected to be completed in early 2020. When complete, the new facility will be used for manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and office space. Fox Factory Holding Corp. is expected to relocate its corporate headquarters from Scotts Valley, California, to its existing offices in Georgia by the end of 2018.

Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Director of Advanced Manufacturing Mike Grundmann represented the Global Commerce Division in partnership with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) and Georgia EMC.
