Sales of the Sea-Doo Spark continued to skyrocket in 2015, according to a research note provided to Powersports Business by BMO Capital Markets analyst Gerrick Johnson.
In fact, the PWC displays “were among the most crowded of all displays at the New York Boat show. This was particularly true of BRP’s Sea-Doo display,” Johnson reports. “The PWC segment of the marine industry is hot, showing 15% unit growth in the U.S. in 2015 after 20% growth in 2014. Most credit BRP’s Sea-Doo Spark value-priced PWC with ‘re-sparking’ the industry. During a recent non-deal roadshow, BRP’s CFO Sébastien Martel commented that the Spark line of value-priced Sea-Doos grew 35% in 2015, its second year on the market. But, to be sure, interest in Sea-Doo was broad-based, with new 300HP machines getting come long looks.”
