Power 50 dealer group adds third store

News Release

Adam Smith’s Calculated Risk Group, which currently owns and manages Adam Smith’s Texas Harley-Davidson in Bedford and Adam Smith’s Texoma Harley-Davidson in Sherman, is returning to Waco with the reacquisition of Harley-Davidson of Waco. The 26,845-square-foot store is located at 4201 S. Jack Kultgen Expy. in Waco and serves riders in Waco as well as surrounding cities such as Hillsboro, West, Gatesville and Cleburne.

The location of Adam Smith’s Harley-Davidson of Waco (100 miles south of Adam Smith’s Texas Harley-Davidson in the DFW area and less than 200 miles south of Adam Smith’s Texoma store) gives the Adam Smith family of riders greater coverage throughout central and north Texas for servicing their rides, easily picking up parts and accessories, and accessing the latest Harley-Davidson merchandise.

Smith previously owned Harley-Davidson of Waco, selling the dealership in 2003 and closing on this purchase in January 2015. “The circumstances were right to sell more than a decade ago and they are right to return to the area now,” said Smith. “Riders in the Waco area will immediately see an increase in staffing, product training and inventory selection, as well as an increase in onsite events. Returning to Waco also allows our team members to advance their careers within our family of stores, which continues to grow.”

The Waco dealership currently has approximately 27 team members and has plans to expand its team, inventory and calendar of events. Adam Smith’s Harley-Davidson of Waco will feature bike promotions and financing; retail sales with a full line of riding gear, apparel, gifts, parts and accessories; and a service department staffed by Harley-Davidson-certified technicians with experience servicing the iconic Harley brand.

An enhanced events calendar will include onsite Bike Nights and Garage Parties, as well as New Rider Boot Camps and organized rides to both local and far-away destinations. The Waco site will also be an active part of the Waco community. Texas Harley in Bedford, for example, is a staunch supporter of Community Storehouse, which provides basic needs and academic programs for local children.

“Adam Smith’s Harley-Davidson of Waco won’t be just a dealership, it will become a destination,” said Neil Noble, Calculated Risk Group. “Our riders will come back every week because we offer the unique Harley-Davidson lifestyle and they become part of our family. And being back in Waco means making the Texas Harley family even larger.”

Smith’s Texas Harley in Bedford is one of the largest Harley dealerships in the country. That dealership is in the process of expanding and was recently cited in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as one of the reasons Bedford sales tax revenues soared in 2014.

“We are already familiar with Waco market and its riders,” added Smith. “It’s a great place to do business and we are glad to be back because we care about our riders, our team members and the community. With Adam Smith’s Harley-Davidson family, you’ll never ride alone and the addition of Waco gives us the ability to serve our client base even better!”

A grand opening celebration for the store will take place on March 7. Visit www.hdwaco.com for details.
