Ducati issues recall of certain Hypermotards, Monsters

Ducati is recalling certain 2012 model-year Hypermotard and Monster bikes because of a fuel-line crack.

A report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the fuel-lines contain micro-cracking due to insufficient drying of raw materials prior to extrusion. Ducati dealers will replace the fuel lines for free.

The potential number of affected bikes is 913. The bikes, all 2012s, include the Hypermotard 1100 EVO, 1100 EVO SP, 796, 1100 EVO SP C, and the Monster 1100 EVO, 696 and 796.
