Motorcycle exports up in June, down first half
Metric manufacturer’s new motorcycle exports to the United States decreased significantly for the first half of this year. The period had a decrease of 81,810 units or 24 percent, according to the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA).
There was a bright spot, however, as June’s motorcycle exports, including Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, increased about 10 percent compared to the same month in 2009.
The value of motorcycle exports for the first half of the year decreased about 11.5 percent compared to the year-ago period.
