Oct. 20, 2003 – Homecoming in Morgan Hill

The first weekend in October was homecoming time in Morgan Hill, Calif., for Custom Chrome fans and followers.
More than 900 dealers and some 140 exhibitors were on hand to celebrate CCI’s 17th Annual Dealer Show. For the past three years, the show has been held off-site; twice at the Santa Clara Convention Center and once as a traveling road show.
So, this year’s three-day event was a homecoming of sorts; it was held completely at the company’s headquarters in Morgan Hill.
The event lived up to its theme of “Fun in Motorcycling, Motorcycling: A Business of Passion.” Entertainment featured the band Smashmouth and more some $100,000 worth of prizes was given out to participating dealers.
When CCI introduced its newest bike kit, it did it with flair — the bike was dropped into the show by helicopter.
