Second round of Nifty 50 winners announced
Five more winners of the Nifty 50 — products and services that are believed to be must-see items at the upcoming Indianapolis Dealer Expo — are being announced.
For the 10th consecutive year, Affinity Media’s editors, including those from Powersports Business, have selected the 50 products and services. All entrants for the annual Nifty 50 contest are judged on potential marketability and dealer profitability.
To be eligible, the products must be displayed at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo in February and be ready for delivery in the 2009 calendar year.
Some products will be unveiled online, but the full description and picture of each product will be in the Jan. 19 and Feb. 9 issues of Powersports Business.
Here are the latest announced Nifty 50 winners:
Club Car XRT950 EX
Company: Club Car
At the top of Club Car’s new mid-size XRT950 series is the XRT950 EX with a canopy top, fold-down windshield, full Bestop enclosure, rear receiver hitch, front tube bumper and shift-on-the-fly 4 by 4. The engine is a Briggs & Stratton 480cc Vanguard HSE four-stroke, air-cooled V-Twin cylinder. This vehicle offers the same strength as some larger machines, in a smaller vehicle. It offers 20 percent more displacement and 8 percent more hp than other vehicles its size. The company says this is the only vehicle in its class with independent rear suspension.

Striker Boot
Company: AXO America
The AXO Striker is a 3/4 height riding shoe that is constructed using top-quality leathers, suede leather panels and perforated PU sections. A molded rubber toe cap guards the shifter and toe area from abrasion while the closure system is achieved by the use of a patented BOA lacing dial system. Open cell foams wrap the heel in comfort and support, and the injection-molded heel cap protects the BOA dial and rear of the shoe. The AXO molded sole is slip resistant and features rounded edges, allowing walking and riding without fear of catching an edge.
Z-Bomb
Company: Bazzaz Performance
Z-Bomb is a timing calibrator for use with a 2008 CBR1000RR. It plugs in line with the throttle position sensor. It results in 5-7 hp over stock. Users only need a screwdriver and 5mm hex key.
