Royal Enfield to build two new technology centers

Royal Enfield has announced plans to build two new technology centers in 2015, with one based in Chennai, India, and the other in England’s Leicestershire County.

Chennai-based Royal Enfield will invest about $80 million into the new factories, reported The Guardian. The UK facility is expected to be complete by the end of 2015, while the new Indian facility should be ready by the second quarter of 2016.

The facilities will allow Royal Enfield to increase its production. In 2014, the OEM sold 302,591 motorcycles, and in 2015, it plans to manufacture 450,000 bikes.
