Jun. 14, 2010 – New Prowler among Arctic’s 2011 models
Arctic Cat CEO Chris Twomey recently said the Minnesota manufacturer will be unveiling five new ATV models and three new UTV models as part of its upcoming 2011 lineup.
Twomey announced the number of new models during a recent earnings report when he also shared the company’s success in building its market share in the core U.S. ATV market.
More specifics to that 2011 lineup were later released, including an all-new Prowler UTV that will feature a redesigned cab for three people.
Here are some additional details on some of Arctic?Cat’s 2011 lineup, as the manufacturer will release further information in the weeks to come.
PROWLER HDX
This new model has a new chassis with an 85-inch wheelbase (10 inches longer than the 700 XTX) for improved ride and hauling capabilities, but retains its overall vehicle length. It will have electronic power steering and five-position tilt steering. A tilting cargo box has a 1,000-pound cargo capacity, multiple tie-down areas and detachable bedsides. Arctic Cat says the cargo box features 30 percent more cargo volume than its competition. The UTV?has 14-inch aluminum wheels rated for heavy-duty hauling. MSRP?for this model and the other new models was not announced.
PROWLER 550 XT
A new Baja racing-inspired round tube canopy, new digital gauge and heavy-duty 14-inch aluminum wheels highlight the all-new sport-inspired look for 2011.It has red, green or lime-colored bodywork and features a console-mounted automotive-style parking brake, a digital gauge redesign with seat belt indicator light and redesigned foot throttle with lighter actuator spring.
NEW ATV MODELS
The models thus far announced include the 450 Advantage Timber Camo, 550 Advantage Timber Camo, 700S Advantage Timber Camo, TRV 550 and 700 GT. psb
