Honda Reveals 2007 Powersports Models

American Honda Motor Co. revealed dozens of new models during the company’s annual dealer convention, held recently in Las Vegas.
Among the highlights are two radically updated cruisers: the VTX1800T Tourer offered with saddlebags, a large, protective windshield and a supportive passenger backrest; and the 750 Shadow Spirit, which comes with an all-new 21-inch front wheel with low-profile tire, low 25.7-inch seat height and bobbed fenders.
Sportbike enthusiasts will be glad to see an all-new CBR600RR. In addition to updated styling, the new-for-2007 CBR600RR is powered by a new, more compact engine putting out greater horsepower and torque, a lighter aluminum frame, stronger front brakes and HESD electronic steering damper. Meanwhile, the venerable VFR800/A Interceptor , powered by the VTEC-equipped, fuel-injected V-4, will come in a heritage paint scheme.
In off-road, the CRF150R is a new four-stroke for the youth class and is available in both regular and Expert models.
In ATVs, the TRX500FPE, or Foreman ES, offers Honda’s Electric Power Steering, TraxLok on-demand 2WD/4WD and Honda’s Electronic Shift Program (ESP); the TRX420FE/FM, TRX420TE/TM Ranchers feature new fuel-injected 420cc engines and body styling, as well as a new TraxLok system on the TRX420FE/FM; and the TRX300EX arrives with an all-new, easier-to-actuate reverse system and aggressive new bodywork available in Red and Black Metallic.
