Sparta expanding its dealer network
The Sparta Commercial Services’ nationwide powersports dealer network is rapidly expanding, the company recently reported.
Nearly 1,000 powersports dealers have submitted applications and are pending approval to become authorized Sparta dealers, the company said. Sparta has already authorized 257 dealers. The company also reports that customer credit applications are up 137 percent over last quarter and 293 percent over the first quarter of last year, with approval rates running near 30 percent.
“The recent four-fold increase in our field marketing staff and our overwhelming reception at the Dealer Expo have given a big boost,” said Anthony Havens, Sparta CEO.
Sparta recently entered into marketing agreements with Lemco Management Group and 700Credit, Inc. The companies will help Sparta train and service its new and existing dealers.
Web site traffic also has indicated the company’s growth. The site has recorded a 250 percent increase in traffic over last year with more than 10,000 hits per day, Havens said.
Over the last several months, Sparta has established equity financing, secured a senior credit facility and launched iPLUS, its Internet-based transaction processing system.
“With those milestones accomplished, we believe that we are building a significant asset-based business that will soon occupy a particularly strong position in the financial services segment of the powersports industry,” Havens said.
