Patriot Ready to Join MIC, SVIA

Patriot Motorcycles Corporation, San Clemente, Calif., says it has been approved for membership and participation in both the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) and the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA).
Patriot is the exclusive distributor of the Yamoto line of Dirt Bike motorcycles and ATVs manufactured in China. MIC and SVIA membership is open to companies engaged in the business of manufacturing, importing and/or wholesale distribution of motorcycles and ATV’s in the United States.
The Motorcycle Industry Council is the national trade association created to promote motorcycling and to enhance the U.S. Motorcycle industry. More than 300 members represent manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, scooters, parts and accessories, and interface with allied trades (such as publishing, insurance and consultants) that support the continued development of statistics, effective governmental efforts and industry relations.
Since 1983, the SVIA has promoted the safe and responsible use of ATVs through rider-training programs, public-awareness campaigns and state legislation. The SVIA also serves as a resource for ATV research, statistics and vehicle standards.
MIC member companies include: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha. SVIA members include AlphaSports, Arctic Cat, Bombardier, Bush Hog, Honda, John Deere, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha.
“From the beginning, Patriot established the goal of making safety training an integral part our entry-level, first-time buyer and rider program,” said Dan Cwieka, President of Patriot Motorcycles. “This affiliation with the MIC and SVIA serves to strengthen that resolve…and adds even more credibility to the Yamoto by Patriot brand.”
