Yoshimura unveils Yamaha R7 products
Yoshimura has released six new products for the Yamaha R7. The aftermarket products include a Suspension Linkage Kit, Aluminum Subframe Kit, Swingarm Pivot Kit, Airbox Kit, AT2 Race Series Titanium and #ProjectR7 Camshafts. Check out more details below:
Yoshimura Suspension Linkage Kit for Yamaha R7
OEM linkage is designed for street and 2-up riding, low ratio and high progression. Engineering the Yamaha R7 to be more stable at higher speeds for racing is crucial, so a world-renowned suspension/chassis engineer was enlisted to improve the R7.
The suspension link system works by modifying the linkage ratio and progression with a higher ratio and adds more linear progression. This set up is designed to work well with the stock OEM R7 front end.
The link is designed for enthusiast track days and professional racing. When combined with the Yoshimura Swingarm Pivot Kit part #400BG137200, benefits mentioned above can be maximized even further.

Yoshimura Aluminum Subframe Kit for Yamaha R7
The new Aluminum Subframe is for riders serious about racing. It saves over four pounds of weight over the stock configuration. The subframe includes an aluminum battery and a wiring tray so the battery can be mounted, and the wiring harness can be protected from tire debris. The unit requires a skilled installer.

Yoshimura Swingarm Pivot Kit for Yamaha R7
Optimizing the Yamaha R7’s chassis for the increased speeds and lean angles of racing is extremely important. The Swingarm Pivot Kit gets the R7 pointed in the right direction and helps keep it there to increase rider confidence through turns.
By flipping the two pivot inserts the racers can increase or decrease by 1.5 millimeters. This change makes the R7 feel like the podium contender it is. When combined with the Suspension Link part #400BG137200, the two components further enhance the handling of the R7.

- Allows swingarm pivot to be +1.5mm or -1.5mm from OEM position to adjust swingarm angle

Yoshimura Airbox Kit for Yamaha R7
While testing and developing the Yamaha R7 airbox, it was found that that there is not enough air to feed the stock configuration for racing. The Yoshimura Airbox Kit single handedly increases performance on a stock engine. By adding the airbox, an 8.5% increase in max HP and a 4.8% increase in max torque can be expected.

Yoshimura AT2 Race Series Titanium for Yamaha R7
Crafting a special race exhaust for the Yamaha R7 involved the use of premium alloy material and prototype after prototype until the final test system was reached. On a stock engine with no mods and 91 octane pump fuel, the new system creates +6.2% max HP and +2.7% max torque. This system is designed to create even more performance with motor work and the addition of the Yoshimura airbox.
Losing over 11 pounds from the stock system, the AT2 is ready to race. The design of the AT2 tucks under the lower cowling to keep it out of harms way as much as possible.

Yoshimura #ProjectR7 Camshafts for Yamaha R7
Camshafts are the heart of any engine and is where tuning started for Yoshimura. Today, Yoshimura cams are created in Japan from a special steel alloy billet, providing just what the CP2 engine needs to make more grunt.

- Full billet intake and exhaust cam, made by Yoshimura Japan
- Full billet construction offers increase durability and quality over OEM or regrind options
- Intake lift 9.60mm / duration 250 degrees
- Exhaust lift 8.35mm / duration 246 degrees

Installer should be familiar with engine building, as it is not a drop-in replacement. Cams must be degreed during installation.
