Florida dealership acquired by H-D dealer group
Alligator Alley Harley-Davidson, located fifteen miles west of Fort Lauderdale, has been acquired by Paul Veracka.
This past month, Paul and Michael Veracka, owners of the Veracka Family Harley-Davidson Dealer Group, officially separated themselves as of Oct. 1, 2019. Alligator Alley Harley-Davidson will be the first addition to Paul Veracka’s dealerships since the split.
“This move simply gives us the chance to establish our own visions for our own companies,” said Paul Veracka. “Owning our individual stores has been something we’ve discussed for a few years now and, in anticipation of this split, we have been restructuring operationally.”
His current dealerships include High Octane H-D in Massachusetts, Motown H-D in Michigan along with two South Florida dealerships, Rockstar H-D and Palm Beach H-D.
Robert Huguet will be the managing partner of this new location in addition to the two other Florida dealerships.
“It has been an exciting time for me as I acquire Alligator Alley Harley-Davidson, my fifth dealership,” Veracka said. “This new addition gives the company a strong presence on the east coast with the Harley-Davidson community. It has given our current staff the opportunity for internal growth as well as bring on more industry leaders to keep Harley-Davidson at the top of the motorcycle industry. This acquisition in the Fort Lauderdale area gives me yet another major market where we can positively impact the motorcycle industry.
“The recipe for success that has proven successful over the past 12 years is going to make an immediate impact. Industry leading, performance-based, compensation plans allow me to attract and retain top talent in the industry. Our systems and procedures allow the average skilled performers to do a good job, and the highly skilled performers to do an outstanding job. I allocate resources in the right marketing channels and events to bring customers to the store, and then let the staff deliver a premium customer experience to keep them coming back. It’s achieving industry leading customer service and employee experience ratings. This is evidenced by the numerous Bar & Shield awards including a Platinum Bar & Shield Award, Power 50 and Best Place to Work Power 50 awards won over the past years,” Veracka explained.
Alligator Alley H-D’s previous owner, Jeffrey Soffer, said, “Paul Veracka and his team put the deal together without requiring assistance from outside advisors. It was a pleasure to watch our two teams of professionals make a deal happen quickly. We wish them continued success in South Florida.”
Veracka’s team brings with it consulting from The Motorcycle Company (“TMC”). TMC is a consulting company owned by his father Dave Veracka, with a staff of over 30 that provide support to the 5 dealerships.
