Texas dealership to host wakeboard competition
Family PowerSports of Lubbock, Texas is hosting the 2nd Wake the Canyon event on April 27-28 at Buffalo Bay Marina in Buffalo Springs, Texas. Wakeboard and air chair competitions will be held on the water, with no experience necessary to partake in the event. The best part? The dealership will be giving out over $13,000 in prize money.
During a recent appearance on Trends and Friends, Deric Ince, marketing manager of Family PowerSports, gave listeners the inside scoop. “It’s going to be a very family-friendly event,” he said while giving details on the upcoming festivities.
Different competition classes will separate beginners from those with more experience. Wakeboarding divisions range from Outlaw, Advanced, Intermediate, Novice, Boys Jr. Novice, Girls Jr. Novice and Women’s Open while the Air Chair divisions range from Expert, Advanced and Novice. The cost to enter the competition is $30.
Children five and under get in free, while tickets for children 6-11 cost $5 and adult tickets cost $11.
The dealership will also be hosting its annual Sea-Doo Demo Event at the same location during the same dates, where they will have all 2019 models for attendees to test ride.
