Three-wheel electric vehicle for local deliveries launched with $19,900 MSRP

Arcimoto, Inc. announced that the Deliverator, a three-wheel, pure electric local delivery vehicle, is now in development at the Arcimoto manufacturing plant in Eugene, Oregon.

Designed to quickly, safely, and affordably get the goods where they need to go, the Deliverator will target 100 city miles of range, 75-mph top speed, 350-pound carrying capacity, and 20+ cubic feet of cargo space. The Deliverator will be more efficient by an order of magnitude than traditional delivery vans and trucks — with one quarter of the footprint. The Deliverator Cargo Cube can be customized to carry a wide array of products including parcels, pizza, perishable groceries, pharmaceuticals, drycleaning, and more pizza.

Starting at $19,900, the Deliverator is available for pre-order now. Deliverator production is expected to begin in 2020. Full pricing, options, and specs will be announced in the coming months.

“With the Deliverator, we set out to create a vehicle that would solve the problem of local and last-mile delivery, which has traditionally been dominated by big, expensive, polluting delivery trucks and vans that often block traffic and increase congestion in urban environments,” said Mark Frohnmayer, President and Founder of Arcimoto. “The Deliverator’s nimble, small footprint can improve fulfillment and delivery times by allowing the operator to more easily move through traffic and find parking compared to a full-sized automobile. With reduced fuel and maintenance costs, we believe the Deliverator will offer significant per-mile savings. For small business owners and corporate fleets alike, the Deliverator delivers.”

The Deliverator is the third vehicle built on the ultra-efficient Arcimoto Platform, following the Fun Utility Vehicle, designed for everyday drivers, and the Rapid Responder, developed to serve emergency, security and law enforcement needs, at a fraction of the cost and environmental impact of traditional EMS vehicles.
