Makita extends sponsorship with Warnert Racing

Makita U.S.A., Inc. has extended sponsorship of one of snocross racing’s top teams, Warnert Racing, and recently announced long-time partner Rockstar Energy Drink as co-title sponsor. The Makita Tools / Rockstar Energy Ski-Doo Racing team will compete in the International Series of Champions (ISOC) snocross racing season, which begins this weekend at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN, and continues through the next five months at closed-course tracks from New York to Wyoming.

“Our relationship is more than a sponsorship, it’s a partnership,” said Brent Withey, senior director of brand marketing, Makita U.S.A. “Our customers passionately support snocross, and our relationship with Warnert Racing, BRP Corporation, and Rockstar Energy allows us to connect with our customers and grow business-to-business opportunities. We’re excited to partner with proven winners in snocross racing and with BRP Corporation, who uses Makita cordless tools in their manufacturing processes.”

Warnert Racing enters the new season with experienced racing champions. The Makita Tools / Rockstar Energy Ski-Doo Racing team includes Pro Racers Tim Tremblay and Adam Renheim and Pro Lite Racer Francis Pelletier. Each rider will have a newly designed Ski-Doo MXZx 600RS E-Tec snowmobile.

“Warnert Racing takes pride in aligning brand relationships and connecting companies together on and off the snow,” said Mark Warnert, co-owner of the team. “Makita provides our technicians with the world’s best and most innovative power tools, which work in even the coldest conditions, to work on BRP Corporation’s Factory Ski-Doo snowmobiles.”

As a long time sponsor of the Warnert Racing Team, Makita also continues the partnership for another season with ISOC, parent-company of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross. Makita will be integrated into all races with on-site activation that will include demonstrations and displays, allowing snocross fans to see the latest in Makita innovation. Makita will also be supporting the sport with a comprehensive media program and the Makita Power Tower, the elevated on-track race managers’ communication platform. New this season is the Makita Power Contingency Snocross Program, a program offering all racers, in all classes and all ages, to compete for a chance to win Makita LXT Brushless Cordless Tool Kits.

Makita’s sponsorship presence will extend beyond the race track. Makita teamed up with fellow sponsor BRP Corporation (Ski-Doo) to offer fans a chance to win a Makita Edition 2019 Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo or Makita’s latest innovation in 18V X2 LXT (36V) cordless tools and power equipment and a Kicker Bluetooth speaker and headphone set. The Makita All-Terrain Slayer Sweepstakes opens on December 3, 2018, and runs through the end of March.
